Keith Harrison Dworkin and Laura Schein's Emojiland is a pop musical. It opened off-Broadway at the Duke on 42nd Street on January 19, 2020. The story follows a group of emojis as they prepare for a major software update in the virtual world of a smartphone. The first live Emojiland performance took place in LA. In 2018, as part of the New York Musical Theatre Festival, the world premiere performance of Emojiland took place in New York City.
The Acorn Theater on Broadway played host to the production. The show premiered Off-Broadway on January 19, 2020, at The Duke on 42nd Street, following its success at the New York Musical Theatre Festival. Lesli Margherita played the Princess, Josh Lamon the Prince, George Abud Nerd Face, Laura Schein Smize (Smiling Face, Smiling Eyes), Lucas Steele the Skull, and Ann Harada the Pile of Poo.
The musical had a one-time concert performance at London's Garrick Theatre in October 2022. British actors, including Olly Dobson (Skull), Louise Dearman (Princess), Hannah Lowther (Kissyface), and Natalie Paris (Construction Worker), were included in the film.
