Ed O'Brien Information
Edward John O'Brien (April 15, 1968) is an English guitarist who is from Oxford, England. He is also a member of the alternative rock band known by the name Radiohead. O'Brien went to the Abingdon School in Oxfordshire. He grew up listening to post-punk acts, including Adam and the Ants, Depeche Mode, Siouxsie, and the Banshees, and a few more. Apart from being the part of Radiohead, he also releases his solo work under the name EOB. The music style of O'Brien is described as alternative rock, electronic, and experimental rock.
O'Brien is well-known for creating atmospheric sounds and textures as well as providing strong backing vocals. The first solo album to be released by him is expected this year by the name Earth. Some of the successful releases by O'Brien being a member of Radiohead include "Creep" 1992, OK Computer (1997), Kid A (2000), Amnesiac (2001), and many more. OK, Computer (1997) brought massive international fame to the band. Radiohead was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in March 2019, which was a big achievement by O'Brien.
As a solo artist, O'Brien released a few of the tracks, including; "Santa Teresa" on October 4, 2019. The first album to be released by him was produced by Flood, Catherine Marks, along with Adam "Cecil" Bartlett. The music of this album is said to be inspired by the time when O'Brien was living in Brazil and attended the Carnival. He described this Carnival as a "musical eureka moment." The two of the released tracks included in the album are "Brasil" and "Shangri-La." O'Brien started a North American tour in February 2020 in support of his first studio album.
