Dropout Kings Information
Dropout Kings is a nu-metal band with the current lineup of the group consisting of Joe Lana Jr. (drums), Rob Sebastian (bass), Staig Flynn (guitars), Chucky Guzman (guitars), Eddie Wellz (co-lead vocals), and Adam Ramey (co-lead vocals). After his last band, The Bad Chapter disbanded in 2015, Adam Ramey formed Dropout Kings. After viewing a video of Wellz performing on YouTube, he invited rapper Eddie Wellz to do a version of Linkin Park's "Lying From You" to stay active musically. Phoenix Down was the band's original name.
Dropout Kings signed with Napalm Records on April 6, 2018, and the band released the music video for "NVM," their first single from their debut album AudioDope, on the same day. The music video for "Scratch & Claw," the second song from AudioDope, was released on June 8, 2018. On August 10, 2018, AudioDope was released. AudioDope debuted at number 52 on the Top New Artist Albums chart and number 112 on the Record Label Independent Current Albums chart in the United States.
Dayshell featured the band on their track "KOMBAT" on March 19, 2019. On May 26, 2019, the band announced that they would perform on the Main Stage at the 20th Annual Soopa Gathering of the Juggalos on August 3, 2019. On April 6, 2021, Dropout Kings announced that they had secured a record deal with Suburban Noize Records. Dropout Kings began their first headlining tour on June 15, 2021.
