Dan Perlman Information
Dan Perlman is a New York-born comedian, writer, and filmmaker. He presently serves as executive producer, co-creator, writer, and star of the Showtime comedy series FLATBUSH MISDEMEANORS, which has received widespread critical praise.
The Showtime series has its roots in the same-named award-winning digital series that Dan co-created. The first chapter, produced on a shoestring budget, won the Grand Jury Award for Best Narrative Short at the 2018 Florida Film Festival and is now eligible for the Oscars.
Dan is a well-known stand-up comedian featured on Comedy Central and was awarded a New Face at the Montreal Just For Laughs Festival. The New Yorker has published some of his articles as well. Dan has previously written and created the animated series THAT'S MY BUS!, which was picked up for a pilot by FOX and showcased on Netflix's THE ILIZA SCHLESINGER SKETCH SHOW.
In 2020, Dan earned the Audience Award at the Brooklyn Film Festival for his short film, CRAMMING, which he also wrote and directed. His first stand-up CD, EMERGENCY CONTACT, came out in May 2020.
