Damon Fowler Information
Damon Fowler is an American electric blues and blues-rock singer, guitarist, and songwriter born in Brandon, Florida. He began to play guitar at the age of twelve and expanded his skills over time to playing dobro, lap steel, electric, and acoustic. Fowler played at small clubs during his teenage years in the Tampa Bay Area. He also began to appear as a supporting act on other musicians’ tours and local music festivals. In 1999, Fowler self-released his debut album “Riverview Drive” (1999). The album included the entire material written by Fowler himself.
Fowler signed a record deal with Blind Pig Records in March 2007. He issued his first album on the label entitled “Sugar Shack” in 2009. Nine out of twelve tunes were written by Fowler on the album.
Damon Fowler has worked with some major names of the industry, including the Radiators, Dickey Betts, Butch Trucks, Victor Wainwright, Jimmie Vaughan, Little Feat, Rick Derringer, Junior Brown, Gregg Allman, Buddy Guy, Chris Duarte, and Delbert McClinton.
Fowler has released several notable albums throughout his career, including Roots and Branches (2000), Live at Skipper’s Smoke House (2003), Sugar Shack (2009), Devil Got His Way (2011), Sounds of Home (2014), Damon Fowler Live 2015 (2015), and Whiskey Bayou Session (2018).
