Damien Sneed is a multi-genre recording artist, conductor, producer, arranger, composer, arts educator, and instrumentalist from Augusta, GA, but currently resides in NYC. Damien has worked with classical, pop, jazz, and R & B legends such as Jessye Norman, the late Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder, Diana Ross, Wynton Marsalis, and J’Nai Bridges, Lawrence Brownlee, Ashford & Simpson, along with many others.
Damien Sneed has served as music director for Donnie McClurkin, Hezekiah Walker, The Clark Sisters, Richard Smallwood, Marvin Sapp, and Karen Clark Sheard, all of whom are Grammy Award-winning gospel artists. Sneed brought his brand of classical, jazz, and sanctified soul all across the country. He released the deluxe edition of the 2019 CD, Damien Sneed: We Shall Overcome on January 10, 2020. Some of his other discographies include Jazz In Manhattan, The Three Sides of Damien Sneed: Classical, Jazz and Sanctified Soul (July 2018), Spiritual Sketches (June 2013), Broken To Minister: The Deluxe Edition (March 2015), and Introspections LIVE (January 2010).
Sneed is the founder and artistic director of Chorale Le Chateau. He recently premiered his new opera entitled “We Shall Overcome -- Our Journey: 400 Years from Africa to Jamestown."
