Cornell "CC" Carter, a native Californian (born in Berkeley and raised in San Francisco), has spent a decade working as a professional singer, composer, and musician. He has performed as an opener for such artists as Ray Charles, Sly and the Family Stone, and the late, great James Brown. Carlos Santana and Grammy-winning producer Narada Michael Walden are the many renowned musicians he has shared on the stage.
His superb vocal range spans from baritone to the first tenor, and it's what gives his music its heartfelt quality. His 2016 CD, In The Moment, brought him to a new international audience, and his 2017 album, Vindicated Soul, was a collection of cover songs that included songs by Al Green, Marvin Gaye, and others. Numerous worldwide accolades were bestowed upon him in 2018, and he was crowned New Artist of the Year by the Soultracks Readers' choice awards for his work on the album One Love, which included the smash hit single That Feeling and its follow-up, That's My Baby.
