Corey Smith Information
Corey Smith is an American guitarist and singer-songwriter from Jefferson, Georgia. His music is mainly folk-rock and country. Smith attended the University of Georgia, where he studied Social Studies. During his time in college, Smith used to write songs and performed at local venues. He also taught at North Gwinnett High School, located in Suwanee, Georgia. Smith taught guitar, geography, and history at the high school. Later, at 28, he decided to pursue music full-time.
Smith released his first album entitled Undertones in 2003. It was followed up by nine self-produced albums that were released via independent labels. His tenth album was released in 2015 entitled While the Getting Is Good. The album, produced by Keith Stegall, was a success on Sugar Hill Records. Smith’s other notable albums are In the Mood (October 10th, 2004), The Good Life (October 10th, 2005), Hard-Headed Fool (September 25th, 2007), Keeping Up with the Joneses (November 27th, 2009), The Broken Record (June 21st, 2011), Live in Chattanooga (October 22nd, 2012), and Maysville in the Meantime (December 2nd, 2014).
Live from Buckhead is the only live album by Smith, released on May 15th, 2020. Some of his notable music videos include “Maybe Next Year,” “Ain’t Going Out Tonight,” “The Wreckage,” “Twenty-One,” “Empty Rooms,” “Honky Tonkin’ In My Blood,” “Halfway Home,” and “Feet Wet.”
