Connie Han (February 4, 1996) is an American pianist. She was born in Los Angeles, California. Han's first album, The Richard Rodgers Songbook, was produced by Wysaske and was released independently in 2015. After that, she got signed to Mack Avenue Records, and in 2018, they dropped her album Crime Zone. Seven of the album's ten songs were written by Han. Walter Smith III (saxophone) and Brian Swartz (drums) joined Wysaske and Edwin Livingston (bass) for the record (trumpet). Movies like Blade Runner and Akira influenced the main theme.
Han became a Steinway Artist this year (2019). Her key jazz influences are McCoy Tyner, Chick Corea, Herbie Hancock, and Kenny Kirkland, according to JAZZIZ, which featured Han in "The Shape of Jazz to Come: Artists to Watch in 2019" the same year. Han's album Crime Zone was criticized for having "angular melodies and weird, abruptly shifting meters," as written by DownBeat's reviewer.
