In the style of what is now known as "La Musica Popular De Verdun," Clay and Friends provide a powerful fusion of hip-hop, soul, and funk backed with prose. With the release of La Musica Popular De Verdun (2019) (and its success Going up the Coast), Grouillades (2020), the single Cheese (2020), the EP AGU (2021), and the album AGU EXTEND'EAU (2022), Clay and Friends have thrilled over 1,750 Canadian and European crowds since 2014 under the aegis of #KeEpItMoViN' with their high-energy concerts.
Clay and Friends is a band out of Montreal, Quebec, that plays a dynamic mix of hip-hop, soul, and funk. What is currently known as La Musica Popular De Verdun was developed by local musicians with their unique sound. The band, known for its chaotic performances and improvised music, plays organic jams that are boosted by beatbox and samplings. To date, Clay and Friends have used the #KeEpItMoViN strategy to delight over 1,750 crowds across Canada and Europe. Since its release in 2019, their 2019 EP La Musica Popular De Verdun has been streamed over 20 million times.
