Chris Trapper Information
Chris Trapper (March 31, 1971) is an American musician and songwriter. He hails from Buffalo, New York, and is the youngest of six siblings. His family is working class. After finishing college, Trapper moved to Boston. He established the band The Push Stars with Boston friends Dan McLoughlin and Ryan MacMillan. With the release of "After The Party" on Capitol Records in 1999, the band continued to put out albums until 2005, when they took a break.
Trapper went on a world tour and released nine studio albums as a solo artist. Other films that feature Trapper's music include Some Beautiful, The Devil Wears Prada, and There's Something About Mary.
Many popular TV shows have featured his music, including Malcolm in the Middle, Pepper Dennis, and ER. After a fourteen-year hiatus, Memphis' Ardent Studios was the site of The Push Stars' 2018 album release, 3 Feet In The Air. Trapper has been a fixture on the live music scene for over ten years, averaging 150 gigs each year.
