Buck O Nine Information
Buck-O-Nine is an American ska punk band. The current lineup consists of Craig Yarnold (tenor/alto saxophone), Andy Platfoot (bass guitar), Jonas Kleiner (guitar), Steve Bauer (drums), Tony Curry (trumpet), Dan Albert (trombone), Jon Pebsoworth (vocals). The band has been included on numerous soundtracks and compilations and has a successful international touring career.
They achieved commercial success with the publication of the album Twenty-Eight Teeth and the hit single "My Town" in the mid-to-late-1990s. In 2000, Buck-O-Nine ceased constantly traveling due to the waning popularity of third-wave ska, but they still play regularly over most of California and the Southwestern United States. The band has been performing internationally since 2001, with stops in Japan, the United Kingdom, Canada, Mexico, and Hawaii.
Although the band wrote nearly twenty new songs between 2002 and 2004, most of them were forgotten until 2006, when they finally began to work seriously on a new album. Only three of the band's previously written songs made the final cut, and they worked nonstop during the rest of 2006 to produce an additional nine unique compositions. The band Buck-O-Nine dropped their sixth studio album, Fun Day Mental, via Cleopatra Records on April 19, 2019.
