MetLife Stadium Company serves as home to the New York Giants and the New York Jets. It was opened to the general public on April 10, 2010, as New Meadowlands Stadium with a construction cost of $1.6 billion. It was the most expensive stadium to be built when it was inaugurated. The stadium is designed by 360 Architecture, Bruce Mau Design, Inc., EwingCole, and the Rockwell Group.

The MetLife Stadium was awarded by the name of the "Greenest Stadium" in the NFL by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in 2009. In 2017, it was awarded the "Venue of the Year" by the Stadium Business Summit.

The venue hosted WWE's flagship pay-per-view WrestleMania twice, WrestleMania 35, SummerSlam 1992, etc. The first event to be held at this place was the Big City Classic lacrosse event (April 10, 2010). The venue also hosted international football (soccer) which includes the Copa América Centenario Final, 2017 International Champions Cup, etc. Other than soccer, various events held at this venue are the Monster Jam, many concerts, music festivals, awards ceremony, etc.
