Bombay Bicycle Club Information

Bombay Bicycle Club is one of the English indie rock bands which is from Crouch End, London. The group consists of Jamie MacColl (guitar), Suren de Saram (drums), Jack Steadman (lead vocals, guitar, and piano), and Ed Nash (bass). The group is a guitar-fronted and is experienced when it comes to experimentation with various genres, including folk, electronica, indie rock, and world music.

Bombay Bicycle Club was provided with an opening slot in the year 2006 at the V Festival. This opportunity came to the group after they won a competition. "Evening/Morning" was the debut single by the band along with subsequent two EPs named The Boy I Used to Be (February 12, 2007) and How We Are (October 2, 2007). To date, Bombay Bicycle Club has released four albums named So Long, See You Tomorrow, A Different Kind of Fix, I Had the Blues But I Shook Them Loose, and Flaws.

Some of the hit singles by the band include "Ivy & Gold," "How Can You Swallow So Much Sleep," "It's Alright Now," "Luna," "Everything Else Has Gone Wrong," "Racing Stripes," "Lights Out, Words Gone," "Home by Now," "I Can Hardly Speak,” and many more.

It was announced in 2016 that the four band members would follow their separate ways to pursue a solo career. In 2019, a reunion was published by the Bombay Bicycle Club to make fresh music together again. The group was awarded the Best New Band award at the 2010 NME Awards (February 24, 2010). "How Can You Swallow So Much Sleep" was another promotional track by the band which was added in June 2010 on The Twilight Saga: Eclipse soundtrack.

Bombay Bicycle Club was also one of the bands that were chosen to perform at the BT London Live concert. This concert was held at the Hyde Park and marked an end to the 2012 London Summer Olympics.
