Black Eyed Peas is an American musical group. The current lineup consists of Will.i.am, apl.de.ap, and Taboo. "Where Is the Love?" was the lead single from The Black Eyed Peas' 2003 album Elephunk and the band's first huge hit. It reached number one in thirteen countries. In the UK, it remained for seven weeks and became the best-selling single of 2003 in the country. Monkey Business, their fourth studio album, achieved even more global success and was certified 3×Platinum in the US.
Their performance in Super Bowl XLV's halftime show occurred in February 2011. The band quickly declared their intention to take an indefinite break to focus on other projects; they reunited in 2015. After making a few guest appearances with the group since their 2015 comeback, Fergie was said to have quit in 2018. Later that year, J. Rey Soul took up touring duties; Soul had previously been a featured musician on a few songs from the group's seventh album.
In June 2020, they dropped their eighth studio album, Translation, and in November 2022, they dropped their ninth, Elevation. With an estimated 80 million recordings sold, the Black Eyed Peas are among the all-time best-selling groups. On Billboard's 2000s Decade-End Artist of the Decade Chart, they were rated twelfth, while on the Hot 100 Artists of the Decade, they were ranked seventh.
