Bachman Turner Overdrive Information
A rock band from Canada called Bachman-Turner Overdrive (BTO). Present members include Fred Turner, Randy Bachman, Tal Bachman, Marc LaFrance, Brent Howard Knudsen, Mick Dalla-Vee, and Fred Turner. The three Bachman brothers—Randy, Robbie, Tim, and Fred Turner- established the company in 1973. In the 1970s, they had seven albums and eleven singles that reached the top 40 in Canada and the United States, respectively. Their discography in Canada includes six platinum albums and one gold album, while their discography in the US includes five gold albums and one platinum album.
As an homage to Bachman-Turner Overdrive's induction into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame, the original Not Fragile lineup performed "Taking Care of Business" on March 29, 2014. This was the first time the lineup had rejoined since 1991. Drummer and co-founder Robbie Bachman passed away at the age of 69 on January 12, 2023, and three months later, on April 28, 2023, his brother Tim passed away at the age of 28.
Randy Bachman and the newly launched Bachman-Turner Overdrive website revealed on June 29, 2023, that BTO would return to the road. Randy Bachman oversees this BTO lineup, and Fred Turner only plays on certain days. Members of Randy's solo touring band (who also played with Bachman & Turner) and Tal Bachman, Randy's son, make up the remainder of the ensemble.
