Angela Aguilar Information
Angela Aguilar (October 8, 2003) is a Mexican-American singer who was born in Los Angeles. Her complete name is Angela Aguilar Alvarez. She has dual citizenship in both the United States and Mexico. She was luckily born in a musical family that was famously known as “La Dinastia Aguilar.” Her father, Pepe Aguilar, was a Mexican Singer, so she used to hang out frequently during his tours.
Aguilar was just nine years old in 2012 when she released her debut album “Nueva Tradicion,” alongside her brother Leonardo Aguilar. The release included four songs by Angela herself and four by Leonardo. She also participated in the BBC 100 Women festival that was held in Mexico City in 2016. She was just 13 years old at that time and was the youngest performer at the festival.
Aguilar along with her brother, Leonardo; father, Pepe; and uncle, Antonio launched an equestrian-musical style tour dubbed “Jaripeo Sin Fronteras” in January 2018.
Aguilar released her first solo album “Primero Soy Mexicana” on March 2, 2018, which was produced by her father. Her album featured well-known ranchera songs performed previously by other artists. At the Premios Tu Mundo in 2018, she performed the album’s first single “Tu Sangre en Mi Cuerpo”.
Aguilar was named the Artistic and Cultural Ambassador of Zacatecas, Mexico on April 3, 2019, by Mayor Ulises Mejia Haro. She was nominated for the “Best New Artist” whereas her album Primero Soy Mexicana was nominated for the “Best Ranchero/Mariachi Album” on September 20, 2018, during the 19th Annual Latin Grammy Awards.
