Andrew McMahon Information
Andrew Ross McMahon (September 3, 1982) is an American singer and songwriter born in Concord, Massachusetts. McMahon has been the pianist, primary lyricist, and vocalist for the band named “Something Corporate” and main songwriter for “Jack’s Mannequin." He also performs solo under Andrew McMahon. He began playing the piano at the age of 9 and the following year, he began performing although he could not even read music at that time. McMahon started his first band named “Left Here” with his high school friends. McMahon has worked with a few record labels throughout his career including Vanguard, Drive-Thru, MCA Records, and Geffen.
On August 25, 2012, McMahon decided to move forward as a solo artist and redirected his website from Jack’s Mannequin to Andrew McMahon. He first announced his support for the band “Fun” during their 2013 tour. It was a solo headlining tour that took place in Spring 2013. In early January 2013, McMahon played his first two solo shows at the Viper Room in West Hollywood. He also released an extended play entitled “The Pop Underground EP” on April 30, 2013. The album was produced by Tony Hoffer and Mark Williams. McMahon has also appeared in the film “Dear Jack," released on October 8, 2009.
So far, McMahon has released three studio albums including Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness (October 14, 2014), Zombies on Broadway (February 10, 2017), and Upside Down Flowers (November 16, 2018). His EPs include Andrew McMahon (1999) and The Canyons EP (November 20, 2015).
