Amyl and The Sniffers Information
Amyl and the Sniffers is a Melbourne-based Australian pub rock and punk rock band featuring vocalist Amy Taylor, drummer Bryce Wilson, guitarist Declan Martens, and bassist Gus Romer. Although their songs have been likened to 1970s hard rock, Taylor claims current musicians like Sleaford Mods, Ceremony, and Cardi B also inspire them.
Their first album, Big Attraction/Giddy Up, came at number 8 on the UK Top 40 list. In June and July 2022, the band opened for Weezer, Green Day, and Fall Out Boy on the European portion of the Hella Mega Tour. In April 2023, they played with Jane's Addiction and The Smashing Pumpkins.
The second album, self-titled, won first place in Best Rock Album at the Australian Recording Industry Association Music Awards. In March 2024, Amyl and the Sniffers announced a July and August US headline tour with Foo Fighters support gigs. Following the two songs "U Should Not Be Doing That" and "Facts," released in May 2024, the band announced a UK and European Headline tour scheduled for November 2024.
