Amos Lee Information
Amos Lee (June 22, 1977) is a multi-genre American singer and songwriter whose birth name is Ryan Anthony Massaro. He was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He received his bachelor's degree in English from USC after being born in Philadelphia.
He started as a bartender and instructor before making music his career. He became associated with singer Norah Jones after his manager Bill Eib, a new talent development agent and artist manager, sent a demo tape to Blue Note Records, landing him a recording deal.
Since then, Lee has released five albums with Blue Note Records and opened for a long list of famous artists, including Norah Jones, Bob Dylan, Elvis Costello, Adele, Dave Matthews Band, Zac Brown Band, Jack and David Gray.
Many films and television shows have featured his music. He has appeared on late-night television, the PBS series Bluegrass Underground, and even a voter registration event for Barack Obama, among other places. Mission Bell, his 2011 album, was the first to debut atop the Billboard 200.
Finally, in 2022, on Halloween night in New Orleans, Lee launched songs from his album Dreamland, including his greatest hit in over a decade, "Worry No More," to round off his triumphant US tour.
