Allen Stone (March 13, 1987) is an American R&B and soul singer plus musician. He is from Chewelah, Washington. He began singing in his father’s church when he was only three. At the age of 14, Stone became one of the leading worships at the same church, which was accompanied by playing guitar. He discovered soul music when he was a teenager and begin to collect classic albums (the 1960s-1970s).
Stone got heavily influenced by Marvin Gaye, The Meters, Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, Gladys Knight, James Morrison, and a few more. He initiated his official career by releasing three records; Last to Speak (2010, self-released), Radius (2015, Capitol Records), and the self-titled Allen Stone (2011, ATO Records). Radius got rereleased with the addition of seven more songs. Some of the other discographies by Stone are Building Balance (November 8, 2019) and Run Deep (March 23, 2018).
Allen Stone boosted his career from his second albums after touring extensively across the country to sell his self-released album. “Allen Stone” peaked no.2 on the charts of the R&B/Soul on iTunes. It also hit no.9 and no.35 on the charts of Billboard Heatseekers and R&B/Hip Hop Album, respectively. The album was called a "pitch-perfect powerhouse" by USA Today.
Stone also appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Conan, American Idol 2018, and a few more shows. Some of the hit songs by Stone that he sang on various shows are "Perfect World" (featured in the Netflix series named Dear White People), "Unaware," "Sleep," and a few more.
