Adam Deitch Information
Adam David Deitch (April 26, 1976) is an American drummer and record producer from New York, New York. He is currently based in Denver, Colorado, and his music is classified as hip-hop, jazz, funk, and electronica. He works as a drummer in a few notable bands, including Lettuce and Break Science. Deitch has also worked and collaborated with soul/jazz singer Ledisi and rapper Wax. Fyre Dept and Pretty Lights are two of his other notable associated acts. Deitch has worked with a few record labels, including Pretty Lights Music, Royal Family Records, and Velour Music Group. To note, Deitch is a co-founder of Royal Family Records. He has also worked with rapper 50 Cent and guitarist John Scofield.
Deitch was nominated for the Grammy Award for the Best R&B Album 2010. He earned this nomination for writing and producing two songs as part of the Fyre Dept. production team on Ledisi's album Turn Me Loose. As a drummer and producer, Deitch released Outta Here, Live in Tokyo, Fly, Crush, Rage! (Lettuce), Illusion, W.A.R. (We Are Renegades) (Pharoahe Monche), Further Than Our Eyes Can See, Monolith Code, Seven Bridges (Break Science), and Knockin', Say No, & Turn Me Loose (Ledisi album).
Some of the notable projects on which Deitch worked as a drummer include Ladies & Thugs Trauma (album) (DJ Quik), Tonight (DVD) (Average White Band), Reminisce (Eric Krasno (Soulive)), Überjam Deux (John Scofield), Up All Night (John Scofield), and Greatest Hits: Live at the House of Blues( DJ Quik).
