The Ned NoMad Tickets Information
The NoMad is an integrated hotel and restaurant located in the NoMad neighborhood of Manhattan, NYC. The hotel was built in 1902–1903. It opened for the public in 2012, and its idea was conceived by Andrew Zobler, Founder and CEO of the Sydell Group. The venue is still under the ownership of the Sydell Group. The hotel is also referred to as NoMad New York. This is done to differentiate it from its sister locations in LA and Las Vegas. The architecture of the building is done by Schickel & Ditmars in a Beaux-Arts style. It is well-known as a contributing property to the Madison Square North Historic District, a New York City Landmark.
The NoMad features 12 floors and a Beaux-Arts façade, whereas French architect Jacques Garcia designs the interior of the building. The Parisian apartment of his youth inspired the design. The hotel also features a rooftop private dining space along with outdoor seating. The venue has one Michelin star. The restaurant is best known for serving seasonal European-American cuisine with a whole roasted chicken for two stuffed with foie gras and truffles being their signature dish. From 2013 to 2017, James Kent was the executive chef.
The opening of the NoMad restaurant persuaded Danny Meyer to sell the nearby restaurant Eleven Madison Park. He thought it would be competing with the NoMad. The hotel also includes five bays on each side, along with a limestone exterior.
