The theater opened in May 1965 with a seating capacity of 2,031. The center is owned by the City of St. Petersburg and operated under the Big 3 Entertainment Group. This theater underwent several renovations including building's mechanical, new elevators, lobby, restrooms, roofing, improved sidewalks, and parking.
