It has a seating capacity of 18,000 for basketball and 19,000 for concerts approximately. Rosser International Inc designed the stunning architecture of the venue. The Colonial Life Arena is owned by the University of South Carolina and is operated by Spectra. The venue serves as the home to the University of South Carolina men’s and women’s basketball teams. It is the largest arena in the state of South Carolina and the eighth largest in the campus college arena.
The Colonial Life Arena serves host to various events like concerts, conferences, and graduation ceremonies. The arena opened with the season opener of the South Carolina women’s basketball team.
