Tom Segura (April 16, 1979) is an American actor, podcaster, writer, author, and stand-up comedian. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio. Tom spent his childhood summers in Lima, Peru, so that he could learn Spanish. He completed his education at Lenoir-Rhyne University in Hickory, North Carolina, and Saint Edward's School in Vero Beach, Florida. He took too much GHB when he was 19 and went into a coma for a while. After completing his studies at Lenoir-Rhyne University, Segura began doing stand-up comedy.
Tom Segura became widely known in 2016 when his Netflix special Mostly Stories introduced his sharp, laid-back comedy style to a huge audience. He had been doing stand-up for years, but that special helped launch him to a new level. His humor is honest, sometimes dark, but always funny in a very real way. He talks about everyday life, family, and strange things people do. His calm voice and perfect timing make his jokes hit hard, even when the topics are wild.
Before that, Segura built a strong fanbase through podcasts and live shows.
