Tiler Peck Information
Tiler Kalyn Peck (January 12, 1989) is an American ballet dancer. She was born in Bakersfield, California. When she was seven, Alla Khaniashvili, a former Bolshoi Ballet dancer, gave her lessons in classical ballet in Hollywood. Colleen and Patricia Neary taught her later two former New York City Ballet dancers. Yvonne Mousey, a former New York City Ballet principal, taught her the Balanchine style at the Westside School of Ballet in Santa Monica during this period.
Peck enrolled in the School of American Ballet for the winter 2000–2001 term while appearing in Susan Stroman's Broadway version of Meredith Wilson's The Music Man. The next year, beginning with the summer session of 2002, she returned to school full-time. She began training as an apprentice with the New York City Ballet in September 2004. When she joined the corps de ballet in February 2005, she was elevated to soloist in December 2006, and in October 2009, she was promoted to the main dancer.
This year's Seattle International Film Festival featured the documentary Ballet Now, which focuses on Peck's life and career. Peck made her Netflix debut as Sienna Milken in the show Tiny Pretty Things in 2020.
