The Pump and Dump Information
The Pump and Dump Show is a live comedy that grows parenting brand, offering commiseration and validation to annoyed moms everywhere. They believe parenting is fed up and hilarious. The Pump and Dump Show believes in telling moms that they’re really, really awesome. There is power in laughter, so parenting is better when you have a band of mothers to help you. The theme of the show is very simple; it is a “night out” for parents where every kind of mom can be in the same room. Whether the moms never have tried the cloth diaper or ate their own placenta. In that room, they laugh together at the things that they all have in common.
Tracey Tee and Shayna Ferm founded the show with the main idea behind it being to produce a comedy/night out show for moms. The show was started in a local bar in Denver with the first show of The Pump and Dump Show having around 70 people participating. The next show started to fill up with groups of 10 or more moms. The show had outgrown the place in six months when they decided to perform it monthly at a 140-seat cabaret space in downtown Denver. Nearly every show was successfully sold out.
The Pump and Dump Show added a second show in south Denver due to very high demand in 2013. They went on their first national tour in 2015 to over a dozen cities and have continued touring for the next five years.
