The Hills of California is a play set in Blackpool, a coastal city in England, telling the story of the Webb sisters and their dying mother. As the sisters return to their old house, 1976 is a blazing hot summer. Summertime delight is flooding the beaches with visitors and locals. Its author, Jez Butterworth, is a Tony Award winner and laureate of the Europe Theatre Prize, among other honors.
