Summer Breeze Information
Summer Breeze is an American cover band. It was started in 1976 by a few young musicians with different musical backgrounds. It has been four decades since the band played music both regionally and locally. They have won numerous awards so far in their career. The band is also known as one of the top cover bands in the United States. They have had the opportunity to open acts for more than 75 top recording artists of Nashville, including Vince Gill, George Strait, Garth Brooks, and many others.
Musical influences of the Summer Breeze include Brooks & Dunn, George Strait, Restless Heart, and The Eagles. Currently, Keith Woods is the only founding member playing in the band. Woods has been in music since the age of 13. He has played for several bands throughout his high school until he formed Summer Breeze. He plays acoustic guitar, vocals, and keyboard.
The second member of the Summer Breeze, Bill Leyrer, is from Philadelphia. He has learned multiple music styles. He relocated to Duncan during the early 1980s to join Summer Breeze. He plays vocals and drums for the band.
Brian Holland is the next core member of the Summer Breeze who energizes the band’s music with his vocals and keyboard. He has been a worship leader and a church pastor for several years while attending college. He has also played in the band called Red River Boys.
The third lead guitarist of the Summer Breeze, David Adair, has been playing on the local music scene for the past 40 years. He gained attention on guitar for playing the rendition of Stairway To Heaven, note for note, while he was in a high school assembly in 1976.
