Simu Liu Information
Simu Liu (April 19, 1989) is a Canadian actor. After nine months as a Deloitte accountant, Liu was let go in April 2012. He started thinking about his possibilities and ultimately became an actor and stuntman. Although Liu's relationship with his parents deteriorated after he left his accounting career to pursue acting, he could mend fences with them by sharing stories from his youth.
Liu began his acting career as a stuntman and extra in films and music videos like Pacific Rim and "I Could Be the One" (performed by Avicii). Nikita and Beauty and the Beast are his other early film credits. As a stuntman, he appeared in both Sick: Survive the Night (2012) and Heroes Reborn.
In 2015, Liu was cast in his first major recurring role, and he appeared in seven episodes of the crime drama series Blood and Water (2015-2016) on Omni Television as a series regular. Later that year, he received his first award nominations for this performance at both the ACTRA Awards and the Canadian Screen Awards. Liu appeared as a noodle vendor named Willie in the 100th Fresh Off the Boat episode in early 2019. He has also appeared as Garbage Boy in an episode of the TV show Awkwafina Is Nora from Queens.
