Shin Lim Information
Shin Lim is a Canadian-American magician born in Vancouver, British Columbia. Lim has carpal tunnel syndrome and decided to pursue magic instead of his original professional path as a pianist. Lim started touring the world after being founded in 2012, and in 2015, she won the Fédération Internationale des Sociétés Magiques in Close-up Card Magic. After his triumphs on America's Got Talent (13th season, 2018) and America's Got Talent: The Champions, as well as his appearances on Penn & Teller: Fool Us, he became even more famous worldwide.
Following his triumph on America's Got Talent, Lim embarked on a lengthy residency in October 2019 as the headliner at the Terry Fator Theatre at the Mirage Casino Hotel in Las Vegas. In 2020, Lim embarked on a U.S. tour and began performing with the theatrical magic team The Illusionists. Since winning America's Got Talent, Lim has been a frequent guest on talk shows like Jimmy Fallon's The Tonight Show, Ellen DeGeneres's The Ellen DeGeneres Show, and The Today Show, among many others.
Britain's Got Talent competitor Marc Spelmann (aka "Magician X") and America's Got Talent semi-finalist Colin Cloud included Lim in their magic tricks during Lim's cameo visit to Britain's Got Talent in 2020.
