Professionally, Shanell Renee has been performing as a clean comedian for the better part of a decade. She graduated with a BS from Millersville University and then went on to complete the program at Helium Comedy Club in Philadelphia, where she became a professional stand-up comedian. She developed and honed her skills on the renowned Laff House comedy club's stage.
Renee relates her experience with a wholesome dose of wit, humor, and disdain. Renee was honored by The Philadelphia Hip Hop Awards as "Best Female Comedian of the Year" in 2018. Renee has made several public performances, including an artist spotlight on "The Q Show," TBN, a tour with Philadelphia's The Roots, the "Delirious" comedy tour, and the "Philly Meets New Orleans" comedy series.
Renee has performed as an opening act for Grammy-winning gospel performer Smokie Norful. She also produces a monthly comedy event in Philadelphia called "Clean Chuckles," from which she plans to expand to additional states by 2020. She was recently chosen "Best Female Comedian" for 2019 by church stars around the United States. Renee is quite proud that her shows are appropriate for viewers of all ages.
