Seth Meyers Information
Seth Adam Meyers (December 28, 1973) is a multi-talented American who became famous in television, film, and podcasting. He presently hosts the NBC late-night discussion show Late Night with Seth Meyers. Before joining the cast of Late Night, Meyers was a regular on Saturday Night Live (NBC) from 2001 to 2014, where he was also the show's lead writer and host of the news parody segment Weekend Update (2006–2014).
Meyers joined the improv sketch group Mee-Ow Show at Northwestern University, where he developed an interest in improv comedy. While abroad, he continued his career with the group Preponderate at ImprovOlympic and was a member of Boom Chicago, an English language improv ensemble headquartered in Amsterdam, alongside his brother.
Saturday Night Live scouts saw him when a Boom Chicago production he created was shown in Chicago and asked him to audition.
The 2008 and 2009 Webby Awards were both hosted by Meyers. Meyers presided over the 2009 Microsoft Company Meeting at Seattle's Safeco Field. In 2010 and 2011, Meyers presided over ESPN's ESPY Awards. The 2011 White House Correspondents' Association Dinner included Meyers as the featured speaker in April.
The inaugural episode of their podcast, Family Trips with the Meyers Brothers, co-hosted by his brother Josh, was released on June 27, 2023. Meyers, Jimmy Kimmel, Stephen Colbert, and John Oliver launched their comedic podcast Strike Force Five on August 30, 2023, in solidarity with their employees laid off due to the Writers Guild of America strike in 2023.
