Maniscalco moved to LA in 1998 and worked as a waiter at the Four Seasons Hotel (1998 to 2005), all while performing stand-up comedy at open mics in bars and bowling alleys. In 2005, he established himself as a regular at West Hollywood, California's The Comedy Store. Since then, he has filmed five one-hour specials and a half-hour for Comedy Central Presents.
