Sara Contreras Information
Since 1995, Sara Contreras has been one of the most successful female comedians, actors, and writers, in addition to being one of Showtime's Original Latin Divas of Comedy, for which she was nominated for an ALMA in 2008 for Best Comedy Special. As part of her USO tour, Contreras has given performances for the military stationed in Iraq. It has been decided that she will serve as the opening act for the legendary salsa band El Gran Combo De Puerto Rico on their upcoming 60th-anniversary global tour in 2022.
She was chosen as one of the top 22 comedians to keep an eye on in 2022. The first performances of her humorous one-woman show, F.R.E.A.K. of Nature, will take place across the country in 2022. Contreras has been a featured comedian on the morning shows of nationally syndicated radio stars Luis Jimenez and Wendy Williams, as well as on the WRKS 98.7 Kiss Morning Show, where she was a featured radio personality.
In the past, Contreras has given performances at the Toyota Comedy Festival, the New York Comedy Festival, the Marshalls Women in Comedy Festival, and the Urban Comedy Festival. Her work with the New York-based "Sistas Doing Comedy," the Washington, District of Columbia-based "DiverCity," and the Los Angeles-based "Hot & Spicy Tamales" comedy troupes have garnered her widespread critical acclaim.
