Sal Vulcano Information
Salvatore Edward Anthony Vulcano (November 6, 1976) is an American improvised and stand-up comedian, actor, and director from Staten Island, New York City. In addition to Joe Gatto, he now does stand-up comedy with James Murray and Brian Quinn as The Tenderloins.
After Murray, Gatto, and Vulcano graduated from college, they returned together and practiced improvisation at Gatto's house. In 1999, they went on tour as The Tenderloins, a group that performed improv and sketch comedy. They had been away for years.
After banding together, the Tenderloins started making comedic skits and sharing them on sites like YouTube, MySpace, and Metacafe, where they quickly gained millions of views. The group's 2007 skit "Time Thugs" took home the $100,000 top prize in the NBC It's Your Show competition.
The Misery Index, hosted by Jameela Jamil and adapted from Andy Breckman's "Shit Happens" card game, was a 2019 project for Vulcano and the rest of The Tenderloins. Season three of the show will air in the future.
After serving a sentence on the show in February 2021, Vulcano was rechristened Prince Herb for the remainder of that season and in all subsequent media appearances. April 29, 2021, was the airdate of the punishment episode.
