RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars is a reality competition spin-off of the original RuPaul's Drag Race, produced by World of Wonder for Logo TV and then VH1. Before moving to VH1, the show debuted on Logo TV on October 22, 2012. The show follows former Drag Race queens as they accept RuPaul's offer to return for another round of competition, mostly from the first series.
Just as in the original series, RuPaul serves as host, mentor, and chief judge while offering new challenges to the participants weekly. The show's official Twitter account revealed the launch date of the fifth season, June 5, 2020, on Showtime on February 20, 2020. Paramount+ tweeted on February 24, 2021 that the series will be moving to the streaming service for season six.
According to an announcement made by the show on August 21, 2023, the ninth season of World of Wonder will premiere on Paramount+ on May 17, 2024. This is the first season of the show in which the participants can choose to have their $200,000 prize donated to a charity of their choosing.
