Ross Mathews (September 24, 1979) is an American television star who is identified as an intern and a correspondent for The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. He was known as "Ross the Intern" at this show. Mathews is from Mount Vernon, Washington. Currently, he has three residencies in Los Angeles, California, and California Springs. Mathews graduated from the University of La Verne, in La Verne, California, in the year 2002. His primary subject was communications, along with being speech and debate competitors.
Mathews began his official career as an intern on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, behind the scenes. Later, from December 2001 and onwards, he worked as an intern for movie premiers, two Winter Olympic Games, one Academy Awards, and a few similar events. He also appeared on E's late-night talk show Chelsea Lately(as a weekly panelist), on the fifth season of Celebrity Fit Club (VH1's reality television show), on one vs. 100 (in n seven episodes of NBC's prime time game show), fourth episode of Interior Therapy with Jeff Lewis (Bravo Series), and many more.
Mathews hosted The View on July 17, 2007, as a guest, Inside Dish With Ross Mathews (a web show with The Insider), GSN's Big Saturday Night, The Howard Stern Show, 2009 Game Show Awards, r E! Live From the Red Carpet coverage (2011) as a co-host, 2010 Emmy Awards, the 2011 Academy Awards, Golden Globe Awards, Hello Ross, and many more.
A book by Mathews was released on May 7, 2013, by the name Man Up! Tales of My Delusional Self-Confidence. Some of his guest appearances were sighted in the movie Pup Star, and "Unsolved Situations," an episode of Mike Tyson Mysteries. Mathews was also the commentator of the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 and the Eurovision Song Contest 2018. He was also one of the eleven houseguests competing on the first American edition of the famous “Celebrity Big Brother” and ended up securing second place.
