Australian puppet comedian Heath McIvor voices and operates Randy Feltface, sometimes known as Randy or Randy the Purple Puppet. As a regular performer on the worldwide stand-up circuit, Randy also appears frequently as a television guest in his own Australia. Randy is also part of the musical comedy team Sammy J and Randy. They debuted on Australian television in 2015 with the sitcom Sammy J & Randy in Ricketts Lane, for which he wrote and starred.
Even though McIvor has claimed that Randy's life story has altered over time and that Randy sometimes makes new claims about his past in an improvised fashion, Randy still claims to have an extremely complex life story for a puppet comic.
At work, Randy got his acting start in a lecture about bullying. Having developed a love for the spotlight, he made occasional appearances on the stand-up circuit in 2005. In the years following their initial bill-sharing encounter, Randy and Sammy J began performing as Sammy J & Randy at South Melbourne's Butterfly Club. Randy's Postcards from Purgatory, his first full-length solo performance, premiered at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival in 2009 to rave reviews.
