Raj Kumar Sharma (December 29, 1973) is an Indian-born actor whose screen name is Raj Sharma. He is best known for his acting stint in films such as Bajrangi Bhaijaan, The Shaukeens, and PK. He completed his early education at Vivek Sthali School in South Delhi and always participated in extracurricular activities. Raj Sharma used to sing patriotic songs as a teenager. He moved to Govt. Boys Sr. Secondary School Defence Colony after completing the 5th grade. From there, he involved himself in entertainment activities such as acting, dancing, and singing.
Sharma’s love for acting began as a dancer with local Ram Leela, where he played the role of Lakshman. He soon went on to work with another group in Karol Bagh Ram Leela. He received his first acting breakthrough while working with a theatrical group named Natya Kutir of Delhi University. There he played his first on-stage production entitled BAKRI.
Mr. Arving Gaur eventually discovered Sharma after he had worked in several plays. He eventually worked in Bollywood for the Bollywood musical theater named, Jhumroo. The theatre became a turning point for Sharma’s career, and he got a boost in 2011 when the director Mr. Vikrant Pawar spotted his acting talent and offered him the main lead role.
