Phoebe Robinson is an American writer, comedian, and actress from Bedford, Ohio, who is currently based in New York City. Robinson attended the high school at Gilmour Academy and later went to college at Pratt Institute in New York City in 2002, where she studied screenwriting.
Robinson started her career as a staff writer for MTV's Girl Code and as a consultant on season three of Broad City. She is now a regular contributor to Glamour and has even been published in Vanity Fair, Bitch, the New York Times, and many others. One of her blogs named Blaria (named for "Black Daria"), has even been featured in the Huffington Post. Robinson has performed a live version of Blaria Live regularly in Washington and Brooklyn. Along with Jessica Williams, she is the co-host and creator of the 2 Dope Queens podcast and HBO series. Robinson also founded and starred in Refinery29's web series Woke Bae.
Robinson has made several notable television appearances, including on NBC's Last Comic Standing, Comedy Central's Broad City, @midnight, the Today show, Late Night with Seth Meyers, FX's Totally Biased with W. Kamau Bell, VH1's Big Morning Buzz Live, and many more. She was named by Esquire, Flavorwire, Brooklyn Magazine, Vulture, Essence, and SF Sketchfest as a comedian to watch.
Sooo Many White Guys was a solo podcast by Robinson that premiered on July 12, 2016. You Can't Touch My Hair (And Other Things I Still Have to Explain) was her very first book that debuted on October 4, 2016, followed by her second book named Everything's Trash, But It's Okay, released on October 16, 2018. She also appeared in films including In Case of Emergency, What Men Want, and a few more.
