Pete Lee Information
Pete Lee is known as the first standup comedian who received a standing ovation on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. As a result of this, he appeared on the show three more times in the last year. Lee currently lives in New York City though he is originally from Janesville, Wisconsin. He went to Joseph A. Craig High School and later to the University of Minnesota. His joyful humor comes from his Midwestern roots, and he was destined to pursue a career in entertainment.
Pete made his television debut in 2005 on Comedy Central’s Premium Blend. Later, he moved to NYC and was selected to showcase at the Just for Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal; here, he was voted a standout performer. In 2008, he made his network television debut performing on NBC’s Last Comic Standing. His television acting debut was made on the CBS Soap Opera As The World Turns.
Pete shot his own Comedy Central Half Hour Special at the end of 2008, which made him earn a cult following at comedy clubs. He also earned the opportunity to perform at 500 colleges for the next ten years, all across the nation. He began producing and editing his shows for the Internet in 2010 and founded New York Minute:30, his web show on MSN.com, and recently launched a new podcast titled Snugglestorm. New York Minute:30 gave him the platform to become as a cast member and writer on the NFL Network’s Top 10’s and FUSE TV’s Video on Trial.
