Penn and Teller Information
The American magic duo Penn & Teller—real names Penn Jillette and Teller—have performed together since the '70s. They are also known as scientific skeptics. Their long-running act is known for its blend of magic and comedy. As the longest-running headliners to play at the same hotel in Las Vegas, the duo has been featured on various stage and television productions, including Penn & Teller: Fool Us. They presently perform at The Rio in Las Vegas.
They won the Richard Dawkins Award, which goes to those who brought atheism into the public eye the year before 2005. Hugh M. Hefner's First Amendment Award was also bestowed upon them. They received a BAFTA nomination in 2014 for the documentary Tim's Vermeer. Their work on Mischief Theatre's 2020 West End production of Magic Goes Wrong earned them an Olivier Award nomination.
As "Hydra" from Team Bad, Penn and Teller competed in the seventh season of The Masked Singer in early 2022. The outfit had to be put together behind the scenes, and a specialized platform was needed to transport "Hydra" to and from the stage due to its enormous size and three-legged design. Penn ran the "Hydra" on the left side, and Teller ran it on the right.
