Nick Thune Information
Nicholas Ivan Thune (December 8, 1979) is an American actor, comedian, and musician. He was born in Seattle, Washington, and raised in Redmond. He moved to Los Angeles to pursue his career in stand-up. The early stand-up comedy shows for Thune were focused on wordplay while he played the guitar. Thune has performed eight times on The Tonight Show. He was also featured in a Comedy Central Presents special in 2007. He performed at the DTD Reality Concert at the University of South California in February 2009.
Thune released his debut album entitled Thick Noon on February 23, 2010, released by Comedy Central Records. His first hour-long stand-up special entitled Nick Thune: Folk Hero was premiered in February 2014 on Netflix. The special was released later on vinyl and CD. On December 22, 2016, he released his second hour-long special entitled, Good Guy, released through NBC’s Seeso platform.
In the 2010 NBC pilot for Beach Lane, Thune played a lead starring opposite Matthew Broderick. Since then, he has made several guest appearances on the comedy shows such as Apartment 23 (2012), Happy Endings (2011), and Traffic Light (2011).
Thune has played roles in several films, including Successful Alcoholics (2010), Don’t Fade Away (2010), Screwball: The Ted Whitfield Story (2010), Poolboy: Drowning Out the Fury (2011), and Dream World (2012).
