Next Generation Ballet Information
Next Heber Ballet is one of the most uplifting American events. Boston Ballet School for Next Generation showcases the most talented students from Boston Ballet II, the Professional Division of Walnut Hill School for the Arts, and the Boston Ballet School Graduates, accompanied by the Next Generation Orchestra.
An inspiring evening celebrating the past and future of Boston Ballet's dance education programs, Next Generation is a tribute to the company's illustrious history. The Citizens Bank Opera House is the venue for this exclusive one-night event.
Giselle Pas de Deux, Classical Pas de Deux, Arianna Hughlett's new piece set to a commissioned composition by Wen-Ting Ong, and Loss Pas de Deux from Love, Fear, Loss are all part of this year's Next Generation program.
On the program, visitors find the world premieres of works by Chyrstyn Fentroy, a principal dancer with the Boston Ballet, and Paulo Arrais, a former principal dancer with the same company, set to Tchaikovsky's Fifth Horn Solo. People also enjoy excerpts from Le Corsaire by Ivan Liska and Marius Petipa, including Pas de Deux, Le Jardin Animé, and some solos.
It is with great pleasure that Next Generation invests in the creative endeavors of female artists and helps female dance students and professionals hone their choreographic abilities. Arianna Hughlett, a graduate student of the Boston Ballet School, and Chyrstyn Fentroy, a principal dancer with the Boston Ballet, both contributed choreography to this performance.
