Michael Carbonaro Information
Michael Joseph Carbonaro (April 28, 1976) is a US-based magician, improv performer, and actor. Coming from a family of electricians and nurses, he spent his formative years in Oakdale, Long Island, and went on to attend Bohemia, New York's Connetquot High School. As a young man, he made enough money to pay for college by doing magic shows for serious audiences. His education at the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University earned him a bachelor's degree in theater.
His "Magic Clerk" segments, which air on The Tonight Show and use hidden cameras, see him playing pranks on naive consumers at a convenience store. After a pilot episode aired on April 1, 2014, TruTV launched The Carbonaro Effect, a television series based on the same idea, on May 15, 2014.
He had an appearance on Comedy Central's Chappelle's Show in 2004. After that, in 2006, Carbonaro appeared in the comedy Another Gay Movie, playing the role of Andy Wilson. He was awarded "Best Actor in a Feature Film" at the Outfest for his performance.
The Guiding Light (2006), Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (2007), and All My Children (2006) are among Carbonaro's other notable television appearances.
