Mat Franco (May 10, 1988) is an American magician. His sleight of hand magic is most renowned for being personality-driven and skill-based. Franco was born in the Rhode Island town of Johnston. When he was four years old, he saw magic on TV and requested his parents to get him a magic set. After that, he started doing tricks in his kindergarten class. His grandmother, who read magic instructions to Mat when he was too small to read for himself, was one of his major influences and first assistants.
On August 5, 2015, Franco debuted as a headliner at the LINQ Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. "Mat Franco: Magic Reinvented Nightly" is the show's title. The Las Vegas Review-Journal rated the show "Best Magic Show in Las Vegas" in 2016.
Franco rose to prominence after becoming the first magician to win America's Got Talent in its ninth season. Franco went on to appear in and create his own NBC primetime television special, Mat Franco's Got Magic. Mat Franco - Magic Reinvented Nightly, his live stage performance, premiered in Las Vegas in 2015, and he is presently performing at The LINQ Hotel + Experience's Mat Franco Theater. Franco's live production is the top-rated magic show in Las Vegas according to Billboard.com in 2021, in addition to receiving "Best Magic Show" at the Best of Vegas Awards.
