MasterChef Junior is an American junior cooking competition show that airs on Fox. The children selected to compete are in the age group of 8-13. MasterChef Junior is precisely based on the Junior MasterChef format, which is the U.K series. The competition was premiered on Friday, September 27, 2013. Robin Ashbrook writes the show while the judging panel constitutes of Gordon Ramsay, Christina Tosi, Graham Elliot, Joe Bastianich, Aarón Sanchez, and Daphne Oz. To date, seven seasons are aired with 79 episodes.
Season one of the MasterChef Junior was premiered on March 5, 2014, second season on November 4, 2014, third season on January 6, 2015, fourth on November 6, 2015, fifth one on February 9, 2017, sixth one on March 2, 2018. And the latest one on March 12, 2019. The competition is produced by Shine America along with One Potato Two Potato.
The MasterChef Junior competition is open to anyone that falls within the age group of eight to thirteen years. You can simply apply online. The challenges that are featured on the MasterChef Junior are Skills Test, Mystery Box, Elimination Test, Team Challenge, and Pressure Test.
The winner of the most recent MasterChef Junior season seven was Che Spiotta, a 12-year-old (from Boiceville, New York) along with Malia Brauer from Newhall and Ivy Angst from Atlanta being the runner-up of the competition.
