Maks and Val Information
MAKS & VAL is a dance duo composed of brothers named Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Valentin Chmerkovskiy. They both are Ukrainian-born professional dancers. Maksim is a Latin Ballroom dance champion, Broadway star, choreographer, and actor. On the other hand, Valentin is an author and television personality. Maks is the nickname given to Maksim, whereas Val is the nickname to Valentin. Maks won the Mirrorball Trophy in 2014 with an Olympic ice dancer, Meryl Davis, and Val is a 14-time US National Champion as well as a two-time World Dance Champion.
Maks and Val founded the Dance With Me studios, which is a leading, nationwide network of dance studios. Their mission behind this was making dance accessible to every single person regardless of skill level. Maks and Val are going to have a third nationwide tour entitled MAKS & VAL LIVE 2020: MOTION PICTURES TOUR.
This tour will feature special guests, spouses, along with celebrated dancers, Peta Murgatroyd and Jenna Johnson. The tour will be bringing your favorite dancing movie scenes selected from the most memorable movie moments. The audience will experience a dance-driven narrative woven together with your most favorite top movies.
MAKS & VAL have also done many past tours where the two brothers performed familiar and iconic movie moments.
